AWC board member Cindy Wallace has recently been promoted to senior communications specialist at Southwest Research Institute. She joined the organization in 1982 and currently provides communications support in the areas of brochures, videos, web site development and other tasks for a department of 600 people. Cindy was also recently named one of five Mentors from that group and is currently serving as the group Division Management Advisory Committee (DMAC) chairman.

San Antonio Board of Directors President Brigitte B. Saidi has been elected President of the Cactus Pair Music Festival. The four-year-old summer festival showcases modern and classical chamber music and runs for two weeks each July with performances in Austin, San Antonio, Laredo, with occasional designated locations in Mexico.

Special thanks to Board Members and Co-Treasurers Karen Foster and Tina Smith for their hard work in preparation for the recently held workshop held at Clear Visions.

AWC Board Member and Co-Scholarship Chairman Stacey Johnson has been appointed to the San Antonio Express-News Advisory Board 2000. The appointment gives her the opportunity to represent Palo Alto and the educational community of San Antonio.
