Farewell from President
It is with great sadness that I must announce my resignation
as AWC San Antonio President. Some of you may be aware that my husband Gabe has been looking for a new job for about a year now, and we are delighted that he recently accepted a position at the NASA Ames Research Center near San Jose, California. I am also fortunate that I have found a new position as a Project Manager with Perot Systems Government Services, a vendor of the Ames Research Center in California. I did not expect for everything to happen so suddenly; I truly believed that I would have time to sell our house and complete my commitment to AWC.
My new position begins January 2, so Friday, Dec. 21, will be my last day at Regnier Valdez. To the board, I would like to thank each of you for your dedicated service to the San Antonio Chapter. Without everyone working together we never could have accomplished so much these past few months: Excellent programs, updated website, online newsletter, the list goes on and on.
I know everyone will be as helpful and supportive of Theresa as you have been to me. Help her keep the momentum going. I will miss you all very much. I wish you all the best in the coming year.
-Sincerely, Sharon Lozano, Dec. 18, 2007
