The San Antonio Professional Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications provides educational, leadership and networking opportunities for area communicators. This chapter has a rich history of recognizing individuals for their professional and community achievements, in addition to bringing continued awareness to First Amendment Rights and the Progress of Women.

AWC SA Wins Two National Awards

 
Congratulations to AWC San Antonio! President Mary Anthony and Karina Cardona Alderete attended the National Conference in Seattle and accepted two chapter awards on behalf of AWC San Antonio.

President elect Salwa Choucair Lanford was awarded with the Chapter Star award. AWC SA was also recognized with the Student Chapter Programming Award for the Annual 2008 Meet the Pros event, chaired by board member Catherine Duncan.
